Combine helicopter Glacier-Flightseeing with Alaska’s favorite sport – Dog Sledding. Upon your arrival atop the Denver Icefield, professional mushers will introduce you to the world of “mushing” and the art of Dog Sledding. Drive the team or relax in the sled while observing the breathtaking environment around you.

  • Tour Highlights
    • Experienced Iditarod Dog-Mushers teach you the art of Dog-Sledding.
    • Meet the dogs and interact with the puppies, as you learn about camp-life on the icefield.
    • Experience the thrill of driving a sled, or sit back and enjoy the breathtaking views
  • Activity Level
    Moderate - All guests must be able to get in/out of helicopter with minimal assistance, as well as walk a minimum of 200 feet over uneven, snowy terrain. Guests are not able to stay in helicopter, as the helicopter will drop them off on the glacier and return to town with other passengers. Tour is not wheelchair accessible
  • Special Notes
    The following items are NOT allowed on the flight or tour: bags of any kinds, GoPro "selfie" sticks; drones, iPads, iPad minis or tablets. A secure location will be available at the helicopter facility to store guests bags, purses, etc
    Due to weight and balance limitations, as well as guest safety and comfort, passengers weighing 250 pounds (113kg or 18 Stone) or more will be charged an additional $100.00 to reserve adequate space onboard the helicopter. Total weight includes shoes and clothing.

  • Cancellation
    We have a 10% cancellation fee from the time of the booking up until 24-hrs before the tour. There will be no refund for cancellations made less than 24-hrs prior to tour. In the event of a weather cancellation, guest will receive a 100% refund

Following a safety video, you are outfitted with boots and vests and loaded onto the helicopter. Once airborne, soar over stunning glaciers and snow fields, before landing at the Dog Camp situated on the Denver Glacier.

Leave your aircraft behind to become acquainted with the world of “mushing” and dog sledding. You have the option to either stand on the sled and mush, or relax in the sled and observe the breathtaking environment around you. A truly authentic Alaskan adventure, this outing enables you to meet the professional mushers and their friendly dogs that have made the Iditarod Dog Race famous.
